FLY CASTING

If you are interested in learning how to fly fish, I would be happy to help you learn.  Fly fishing is not nearly as difficult as many people believe.  I have been teaching casting for about 15 years now and I am a certified casting instructor by the Federation of Fly Fishers.  Casting lessons are conducted one-on-one or in small groups of individuals who want to learn together (families, friends, etc.).  These lessons are conducted at local parks that are convenient to everyone involved.  Want a lesson before you you purchase gear?  That's not a problem, I can furnish the gear.  Most individuals are ready to fish after two or three lessons.  Advanced lessons are also available for those wishing to improve their casting.

Lessons: $50/Lesson

Lessons typically last 1 to 1 1/2 hours.

VESSEL OPERATIONS COURSE

This course is designed to help new boaters learn how to properly and safely operate their vessels.  I have been teaching vessel operation courses since 2005.  While the original courses were designed for law enforcement purposes, they have been redeveloped to help new boat owners or those looking for improvement in their boat handling skills.  Scheduled courses will be listed below, where myself and other instructors will be teaching a full day course.  In addition, one-on-one lessons are available.  Topics will include: trailering, launching and loading vessels, boat ramp etiquette, safety gear protocol, safe operation, and operator responsibilities.  One-on-one lessons are conducted using your vessel.

Scheduled Courses:

TBA

One-on-One Lessons: $50/hour (4 hour minimum)

FLY TYING COURSES

If you are interested in learning the art of fly tying, I would love to help you get started.  Fly tying is a great way to design flies for your specific fishing needs.  It is also a great way to relax; which is why a lot of people take up tying even if they don't fly fish.  Equipment is provided and lessons are tailored to meet your needs.  Upcoming tying events will also be announced here.

One-on-One Lessons: $50/hour
